  1. 1. Groundwater modeling of Krycklan catchment and evaluation of the groundwater discharge distribution

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Sandra Edström; [2022]
    Nyckelord :groundwater modelling; groundwater flow; Krycklan catchment; topography-controlled groundwater surface; evapotranspiration; groundwater discharge; groundwater recharge; grundvattenmodellering; grundvattenflöde; Krycklan avrinningsområde; topografi-kontrollerad grundvattenyta; evapotranspiration; grundvattenutflöde; grundvatteninfiltration;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis aimed to evaluate the groundwater discharge distribution in the Krycklan catchment by developing a groundwater flow model using COMSOL Multiphysics and assuming a topography- controlled groundwater surface. Previous research has shown that the groundwater surface can be modeled as a subdued replica of the topography in humid climate regions where the permeability of the subsurface is low and where the groundwater surface is shallow. 2. 2. Oron om cementens framtid, som kan ge hela Sverige kalla kårar! : -Har kalkbrytning på Slite någon framtid?

    M1-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Patrik Landqvist; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Samhällsekonomi Stadsplanering Infrastruktur Bostadsbyggande Marknadsstyrd byggande Swecos Infrastrukturprojekt;

    Sammanfattning : Sweden has historically been self-sufficient when it comes to produce and manufacturing concrete. Nowadays Sweden’s epicenter for lime extraction is located on the eastern island of Gotland, and the extraction base called Slite. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Acid sulphate soils and its influence on metal concentrations in adjacent water bodies. - A case study from Halland, SW Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Amanda Lindgren; [2021-03-10]
    Nyckelord :acid sulphate soils; metal distribution; surface water; climate; physicochemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Acid sulphate soils have been referred to as being among the most harmful soils in the world due to their ability to severely decrease the pH of the water, consequently enabling an increased metal load to recipient water streams, lakes, groundwater reservoirs and estuaries. The presence of acid sulphate soils has triggered several fish kill episodes in northern Scandinavia and the soils are today threatening many of the national environmental goals of Sweden. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Evaluation of bank erosion and stability analysis along Rönne å at Ängelholm, Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :Arnold Mate Kalimukwa; Abuzack Juma Mohamed; [2021]
    Nyckelord :HEC-RAS; BSTEM; cross section; erosion; sediment transport; deposition; bank stability; safety factor; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This master thesis report presents the results of evaluation of bank erosion and stability analysis along Rönne å (river) at Ängelholm, located in south-west of Sweden within Scania. The main objectives cover building a hydrodynamic model, studying parameters that define sediment transport, modelling sediment transport within the river, mapping out erosive stretches and comparing to earlier observational study conducted by Norconsult in 2013, and finally conducting analysis of bank stability in most erosive stretches. 5. 5. Carbon dioxide dynamics in agricultural streams : Investigation of two streams draining catchments dominated by agricultural land

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Albin Bostner; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Carbon dioxide; dynamics; streams; agriculture; oversaturation; metabolic control; hyrdological control; Koldioxid; koldynamik; bäckar; jordbruk; övermättat; metabolisk kontroll; hydrologisk kontroll;

    Sammanfattning : In recent years, streams draining agricultural land has been suggested to exhibit high carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations when compared to streams draining other land-types. The transport of carbon from land to ocean is mainly occurring through the chain of inland waters, and with agricultural land today representing 40% of all continental area many of these inland waters are influenced by agricultural land.
