  1. 1. Does the shoe type matter when prescribing custom-made foot orthoses? A comparison of peak plantar pressure in healthy subjects with custom-made foot orthoses in different shoe types.

    Kandidat-uppsats, Jönköping University/HHJ. Ortopedteknisk plattform

    Författare :Erik Wennerholm; Jenny Gustafsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :shoe design; in-shoe measurement; customized insoles; pressure distribution; inserts; skodesign; inlägg; tryckmätning i sko; tryckfördelning; fotbäddar;

    Sammanfattning : Purpose: A common prescription in Prosthetic and orthotic clinics in Sweden is custom-made foot orthoses (CmFO). These must be placed in shoes. The aim of this study was to investigate whether the shoe type will have an impact on the effectiveness of CmFO regarding plantar pressure (PP). LÄS MER

  2. 2. Biomechanical investigation of the efficacy and perceived performance of a knee brace

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Författare :Alice Garnheim; Alvina Vernersson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Biomechanical investigation; knee brace; osteoarthritis; design; OA; healthy subjects; gait analysis; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The most prevalent joint disease in adults is osteoarthritis. The knee joint is the joint which is the most affected by osteoarthritis, with mechanical overloading being one of the causes. While no cure exists for osteoarthritis, many different treatment options are available. One alternative is to wear a knee brace on the affected leg. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Pilot Study on Working Memory : Investigating Single Trial Decoding to Find the Best Stimulus and Target for a Future Personalized Neurofeedback

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Medicinteknik och hälsosystem

    Författare :Erik Gasparini; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Visual working memory; Personalised neurofeedback; Visual stimulus; Targeted brain region.;

    Sammanfattning : A standard Neurofeedback approach to mitigate the working memory decline in some fragile groups (elderly, subjects affected by stroke or Alzheimer's disease) can be suboptimal for some patients. The goal of this research is to investigate which visual stimulus (among colour, geometrical shape, direction, and symbol) is the most suited for each of the six healthy participants and which brain areas are the most discriminative, during the maintenance of a presented stimulus in a retro-cue-based working memory experiment. 4. 4. Synen på djur, veterinärens ansvar och moralisk stress hos veterinärstudenter : finns olikheter mellan årskurserna?

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Environment and Health

    Författare :Alva Orrenius; [2023]
    Nyckelord :djursyn; moralisk stress; veterinäretik; veterinärstudenter;

    Sammanfattning : Det här arbetet handlar om hur veterinärstudenter ser på djur, vad veterinärens etiska ansvar är och om moralisk stress. Syftet med arbetet är att jämföra hur studenter i årskurs ett och studenter i årskurs fem på veterinärprogrammet tänker kring de här ämnena. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The Impact of Targeted Memory Reactivation on Declarative Memory During Slow-Wave Sleep : A Systematic Review

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskap

    Författare :Julia Lundgren; [2023]
    Nyckelord :targeted memory reactivation; TMR; sleep; slow-wave sleep; SWS;

    Sammanfattning : The method targeted memory reactivation (TMR) uses specific stimulation when subjects are completing tasks and during sleep. The TMR process is known to influence the consolidation of declarative memories. The aim of this thesis is to conduct a systematic review on the effects of TMR on declarative memory consolidation during slow-wave sleep (SWS). LÄS MER
