  1. 1. Human and Robot Narrator: How Gestures Affect Comprehension and Recollection

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kognitionsvetenskap

    Författare :Johannes Rosenfrost; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Cognitive Science; Cognition; Embodiment; Humanoid Robots; Social Robots; HRI; Human-Robot-Interaction; Social Interaction; Robotics; Linguistics; Communication; Multimodality; Non-verbal; Gestures; Narration; Comprehension; Recollection; Social Sciences;

  3. 3. Improving active listening behaviours of embodied conversational agents (ECA) from a UX perspective

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Bharat Narayanan; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Embodied Conversational Avatar; Virtual Humans; User Experience; Active Listening Behaviour; Characteristics; Expressions.;

    Sammanfattning : Active listening is a communication technique where the listener listens to the speaker carefully and attentively by confirming or asking for more details about what they heard during a conversation. Active listening has proven to be a very useful technique in learning and extracting insightful information from the conversation and poses many challenges when emulating such behaviours in a virtual character. 4. 4. Investigating the Effects of Robots Reacting to Human Backchanneling on Human-Robot Interaction

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Pauline Littbrand; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : In an interaction between two participants the listener continuously gives feedback to the speaker in the form of gestures and verbal utterances; this is called backchanneling. An example of commonly used backchanneling is nodding or the verbal utterance “yeah”. LÄS MER

  5. 5. L2 listeners benefit from audiovisual information in the processing of Swedish vowels - A speech comprehension experiment with L1 and L2 listeners
