  1. 1. Kl-trä i Byggnader : Utmaningar att bygga hus i KL-trä med fokus till fukt, brand och förband aspekter.

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för ekonomi, samhälle och teknik

    Författare :Mumin Mohamed; Mohamed Osman; Malik Tan; [2023]
    Nyckelord :KL-trä; Fukt; Brand; Förband; Utmaningar; Lösningar; Hygroskopiska egenskaper; Förkollningsprocessen;

    Sammanfattning : Purpose: Sustainability and reduced environmental impact are increasingly pressing challenges within the construction sector. Wood has become a sought-after building material due to its renewability and lower energy intensity during manufacturing. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Lowering energy need and improving indoor climate - A case study of rural dwellings in Gammalsvenskby, Ukraine

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign

    Författare :Viktor Kauranen; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Gammalsvenskby; energy-efficient; indoor climate; rural buildings; renovation; Ukraine; Life cycle cost; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : A vast majority of rural dwellings in Ukraine are inefficient from an energy perspective, with a major need for energy-efficient renovations. A lot of these buildings are also having problems with the indoor climate, with poor ventilation combined with indoor combustion of fuel which can cause negative health effects. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Validation of An Iteration Free Material Model for Paperboard (NEO)

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Hållfasthetslära; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för byggvetenskaper

    Författare :Samuel Thomas Staines; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Paperboard; orthotropic; Constitutive equilibrium free; Non-linear; Curve fit constitutive relation; switch-wise history dependence; total formulation; explicit constitutive relation; In-plane; Elastic-plastic; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The NEO model, developed by Lindström (2019) for paperboard, is a non-linear material model that utilizes empirically based constitutive relations with switches to mimic elastic-plastic responses. Due to the explicit definition of the constitutive relations, the NEO model does not require a constitutive equilibrium loop. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Thermochemical energy utilization of biomass in Rwanda - a screening of potential feedstocks

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för tillämpad fysik och elektronik

    Författare :Felix Johansson Carne; [2022]
    Nyckelord :bioenergy; agricultural; residues; waste; agroforestry; africa; energiteknik; bioenergi; jordbruksrester; afrika; termokemisk; bränslen;

    Sammanfattning : Traditional bioenergy practices in sub-Saharan Africa involve collecting natural forest wood and burning it in simple fireplaces for household cooking. This is actually still very common, especially in rural areas. The situation is unfortunately connected to health issues, inequality and natural forest degradation and deforestation. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Assessing indoor environmental quality and occupant comfort in modern wood buildings with post-occupancy evaluation and building performance simulation

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö

    Författare :Henriikka Taipale; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Climate change; Post-occupancy evaluation; Building performance simulation; Residential; Wood buildings; Engineered wood products; Indoor environmental quality; Thermal comfort; Indoor air quality; Acoustics; Visual comfort; Case study; Denmark; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The European building sector is a source of significant negative environmental impacts, and large part of its carbon emissions can be attributed to heating, cooling and lighting of buildings – in other words, regulating buildings’ indoor environments. As people spend most of their lives indoors, there is a great challenge to create comfortable indoor environments, while also striving for further energy-efficiency and lower environmental impact.
