6. Mainstream deammonification reac-tor at low DO values and employing granular biomass.
Master-uppsats, KTH/Mark- och vattenteknikSammanfattning : Nitrogen removal from wastewater has been exstensively addressed by scientific literature in recent years; one of the most widely implemented technologies consists of the combination of partial nitritation and anaerobic ammonium oxidation (ANAMMOX). Compared to traditional nitrification and denitrification techniques such solution eliminates the requirement for an external carbon source and allows for a reduced production of excess sludge; furthermore, it brings down the costs associated to aeration by 60-90% and the emissions of CO2 by 90%. 7. N2O emission in a full-scale partial nitrification/anammox process.
Master-uppsats, KTH/Mark- och vattenteknikSammanfattning : The reduction of the emission of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere will be one of the challenges that society will have to face in the coming years. Until now, all efforts have been put in improving the properties of the discharged water in a wastewater treatment plant and the efficiency of the whole process. LÄS MER
8. Study on one-stage Partial Nitritation-Anammox process in Moving Bed Biofilm Reactors: a sustainable nitrogen removal.
Master-uppsats, KTH/VA-teknik, Vatten, Avlopp och AvfallSammanfattning : In the last decade, several novel and cost-effective biological nitrogen removal technologies have been developed. The discovery of anaerobic ammonium oxidation (Anammox), about 15 years ago, has resulted in new opportunities for research and development of sustainable nitrogen removal systems. LÄS MER
9. New possibilities of Magnesium utilization in wastewater treatment and nutrients recovery
Master-uppsats, KTH/Mark- och vattenteknikSammanfattning : New possibilities of nutrients removal by additions of magnesium compounds were studied in primary treatment and supernatant of side stream in wastewater treatment. The precipitation product from this method is magnesium ammonium phosphate (MAP) socalled struvite. LÄS MER
