  1. 21. Exploring Leadership Strategies and Dynamics in Leading Cross-Cultural Virtual Teams

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för företagande, innovation och hållbarhet

    Författare :Prudence Kahwema; Linda Lichte; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This study aims to explore the experiences and perspectives of leaders who lead cross-cultural teams virtually, examining the challenges and benefits they face, and providing valuable suggestions to help them overcome these challenges and capitalize on the benefits. The study integrates elements from leadership theories, culture theories and communication theories with empirical data to understand what makes virtual leadership of cross-cultural teams successful. 2. 22. Prompt-learning and Zero-shot Text Classification with Domain-specific Textual Data

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för lingvistik och filologi

    Författare :Hengyu Luo; [2023]
    Nyckelord :prompt-learning; zero-shot; few-shot; text classification; domain-specific; retail sector domain; customer-agent interaction; transformer; large language models; ChatGPT; natural language processing; machine learning; deep learning;

    Sammanfattning : The rapid growth of textual data in the digital age presents unique challenges in domain-specific text classification, particularly the scarcity of labeled data for many applications, due to expensive cost of manual labeling work. In this thesis, we explore the applicability of prompt-learning method, which is well-known for being suitable in few-shot scenarios and much less data-consuming, as an emerging alternative to traditional fine-tuning methods, for domain-specific text classification in the context of customer-agent interactions in the retail sector. 3. 23. Carabidocoenoses and Fragments of Forests : exploring the Carabid Landscape

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Ecology and Management

    Författare :Simon Heinrich Arns; [2023]
    Nyckelord :biodiversity; Carabidae; carabid diversity; entomology; Fragmentation; Fragstats; habitat fragmentation; habitat Heterogeneity; landscape; landscape ecology; landscape Heterogeneity; pitfall trap; quantifying fragmentation;

    Sammanfattning : Epigeic ground beetles (Coleoptera: Carabidae) were sampled between 2021-06-28 and 2021-07-09 using pitfall traps in the Swedish counties Värmland and Gävleborg. The structural properties of the landscapes surrounding these points were estimated from the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s national land cover databases and the Swedish Forest Agency’s data for all formally protected and high conservation value forests using patch-based configurational metrics. 4. 24. Beetle Diversity – Land Sparing or Land Sharing? : the effects of timber extraction and restoration method on saproxylic beetle assemblages in mature managed pine forests

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Ecology and Management

    Författare :Ella Amnéus; Sebastian Hjelström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Saproxylic Beetles; Ecological Restoration; Deadwood; Biodiversity; Boreal Forest; Fire Ecology; Land-sparing; Land-sharing; Conservation Management;

    Sammanfattning : The impoverishment of saproxylic beetle communities is a growing concern for management of boreal forest biodiversity. Past research has found active restoration methods, such as creating deadwood and conducting prescribed burnings, to have a short-term positive effect on the species richness and compositional diversity of saproxylic beetle assemblages. 5. 25. Employee Turnover in Warehouses : Exploring the Role of Internal Marketing Strategies in Consulting Firms

    Kandidat-uppsats, Jönköping University/Internationella Handelshögskolan

    Författare :Sina Kowssarie; Simon Mansour; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates internal marketing strategies in consulting firms, focusing on employee retention and turnover in warehousing roles. Employing a qualitative, interpretivist approach within a phenomenological design, the research examined two primary questions: "What internal marketing initiatives encourage employee retention?" and "What factors drive employee turnover in warehousing positions?" The study utilized purposeful sampling, ensuring the trustworthiness of results through measures for credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. LÄS MER
