16. Time Signatures in Modern Music
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Musikhögskolan i MalmöSammanfattning : In the beginning of the 20th Century with the emergence of a new musical language as the Second Viennese School (Alban Berg, Arnold Schoenberg, and Anton Webern) took over, suddenly music pushed forward and away from traditional harmony, rhythm and even notation. Music started to lose its traditional feel of patterns, cadences and regularity and instead embraced new complexity, as composers started to avoid time signature patterns, tonal melodies, and harmonies. 17. Liturgisk textil och modernitet : En undersökning av sakrala textilier i en modernistisk kyrkorumskontext år 1960.
Magister-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/TextilvetenskapSammanfattning : A need for new churches arose in Sweden during the 1950’s when modern suburbs for the growing urban population were developed around the Swedish cities. Four architects, Peter Celsing, Sigurd Lewerentz, Hans Borgström and Bengt Lindroos, who were known for their profane modernist architecture, were commissioned to design three churches in Stockholm's new districts: S:t Tomas kyrka in Vällingby, St. LÄS MER
18. The effect of disorder on the axial anomaly in a lattice model in 1 + 1 dimensions
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : This work investigates the effect of a disorder potential, that represents impurities/dislocations in the lattice, on the time-dependent signature of the axial anomaly in a one-band tight-binding model in one spatial dimension. The tight-binding model is solved numerically and the simulation results are compared with a semiclassical expression for the time-dependent axial density, n5(t), due to Nielsen and Ninomiya [1]. 19. The tangled Warp of the Milky Way
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astrofysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Context: The Milky Way disc, like the discs of many other spiral galaxies, has been shown to be warped. The growing astrometric data set for stars produced by the Gaia mission allows for more detailed studies of the stellar disc's warp. LÄS MER
20. Evaluation of algorithms for accurate micro-doppler effects measurement in FMCW radar
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Fysik, elektroteknik och matematik; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakultetenSammanfattning : Micro-Doppler effects are phenomena that occur because of micro-motion. A micro-motion is either a vibration, rotation, or acceleration which is small relative to the motion of the target. These effects can be used in order to characterize a target through their signature movement. LÄS MER
