  1. 1. Stadsodling i Hamnparken, Nyhamnen Malmö : undersöker Torontomodellen som beslutsstöd för potentiellt förorenad mark

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Biosystems and Technology (from 130101)

    Författare :Lova Hambraeus; Karin Stureson; [2024]
    Nyckelord :bly Pb ; fytoremediering; markanalys; miljöföroreningar; Nyhamnen; PAH; stadsodling; Torontomodellen;

    Sammanfattning : Befolkningen ökar och städer blir tätare. Detta skapar ett behov av att utöka matproduktionen och stärka livsmedelsförsörjningen i staden, samt bygga upp platser för mental hälsa och social interaktion. Ett möjligt sätt att göra detta är genom att börja stadsodla. LÄS MER

  2. 2. If Trees Could Talk - Dendrochemistry, a Promising Method for Understanding Pollution History

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Jonatan Uusitalo; [2023-08-17]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Heavy metal pollution presents a significant environmental challenge in the Anthropocene era, and understanding pollution history is crucial to address historical pollution and implementing effective mitigation measures. This study stands among a few comprehensive dendrochemical investigations that utilized an extensive dataset and energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) technique to reconstruct the contamination history of As, Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn, with a focus on Cu. 3. 3. Investigating the potential correlations between metal and metalloid concentrations and soil color : A Minor Field Study on the island province of Marinduque, Philippines

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Ivana Pia Saric Söderholm; Erik Readwin; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Marinduque; Metal and Metalloid; Nix Pro 2 Color Sensor; Philippines; Soil color; X-Ray Fluorescence XRF ; Filippinerna; Jordfärg; Marinduque; Metall och Metalloid; Nix Pro 2 Color Sensor; Röntgenfluorescens XRF ;

    Sammanfattning : This study was carried out as a bachelor's thesis at KTH Royal Institute of Technology during the spring of 2023, investigating the correlation between the color with the concentration of various metal and metalloids (MMs) in the soil of Marinduque, The Philippines. With a history of mineral exploitation, notably copper and gold, the island has faced persistent environmental challenges, exemplified by the catastrophic waste spills in 1993 and 1996 that contaminated the Boac and Mogpog Rivers. 4. 4. Designing intermediate community use during Brownfield phytoremediation in the post-industrial urban redevelopment project : a Case Study in Nyhamnen, Malmö

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management (from 130101)

    Författare :Rie Chimura; [2023]
    Nyckelord :applicability analysis of phytoremediation; brownfield; intermediate community use; landscape architecture; post-industrial city of Malmö; sense of place;

    Sammanfattning : Malmö, once flourished with industries, has been transitioning since its decline in the 1980s. The redevelopment of Nyhamnen, one of the post-industrial areas, started in 2018 to accommodate the expected increasing population until 2050. The City of Malmö focuses on redeveloping within instead of expanding the city. LÄS MER

  5. 5. N2 fixation of three legume species in an agroforestry system

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Soil and Environment

    Författare :Hsiang-Ju Fan; [2023]
    Nyckelord :nitrogen; dinitrogen fixation; legumes; groundnut; stylo; pinto peanut; understorey crop;

    Sammanfattning : Due to the strong soil erosion caused by agricultural activities and sloping landscape, agroforestry has been introduced as a potentially sustainable cropping practice in the mountainous NW Vietnam. Using legumes as understorey crops in these systems has a potential to limit erosion and smother weeds, as well as provide additional nitrogen (N) to the system. LÄS MER
