Sammanfattning: Abstract The purpose of the study is to contribute knowledge about what teachers consider important inteaching individual-integrated students, students received in special primary school but whoreceive their teaching in primary school. In order to be able to answer the purpose, two questionsare used:1. What conditions do teachers consider important when teaching individual-integratedstudents?2. What strategies and adaptations do teachers state that they use when teachingindividual-integrated students?The study is based on a qualitative method where the data was collected using semi-structuredinterviews with ten teachers who teach individual-integrated students. The results of the studywas analyzed based on Dillon's (2009) theoretical framework consisting of the seven aspects ofteaching. The results showed that the conditions that emerged were access to premises, staffresources, the importance of using image support, treatment and cooperation with differentprofessions as well as students and guardians were important prerequisites for teachingindividual-integrated students. The results also showed that access to digital aids was importantin teaching. In order for the students to be able to assimilate more of the teaching, the teachersadapted the students' teaching materials. It also emerged that teaching is based on thecompulsory school's time schedule.Strategies and adaptations used by the teachers were that the teaching was based on the studentsneeds. Learning benefits from involving several senses in teaching, but also from having a clearstructure throughout the day as well as lessons and content. The results also revealed theimportance of linking learning to concrete situations and events. In addition there were usedhearing protections, screens, designated places and adapted study programs. Finally, it wasconcluded that the adaptations that were made for students with special needs could benefit theentire class.
