"Jag har inte bett om att få en bror som missbrukar" : en kvalitativ studie om syskonskap till narkotikamissbrukare

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this essay was; to shed light on men's and women's experiences and feelings being sibling to an abuser of narcotics and to visualise if these experiences and feelings have any connection with growth conditions. Essential questions were; - How are growth conditions described in families where a child is an abuser of narcotics? - How is the relation described between the abuser of narcotics and it's sibling? - How describe siblings their feelings for the sibling who is an abuser of narcotics? The method we used in our research were qualitative interviews with six biological siblings to abusers of narcotics. In the analysis theory and earlier research have been related to the results of the research. In our research varied descriptions appeared but we although found equal signs in our respondents descriptions. For example described our respondents, that fathers in the families, in different ways, not had been emotionally available for his children during their growth, and particularly not for the abuser of narcotics. Our respondents also described that they, in many ways, had been taken a responsibility role in relation to the sibling who abuse narcotics.
