Förskollärares syn på rörelse och fysisk aktivitet i förskolan : En kvalitativ intervjustudie om förskollärares syn på den fysiska aktiviteteni förskolan och hur de arbetar för att möta rörelsemålen i förskolansläroplan

Sammanfattning: The purpose of the study was to examine preschool teacher’s view of how theguidelines about physical activity in the Swedish curriculum is used in the preschool. Qualitative interviews were used as method and six preschool teacherswith different experience in preschool participated. The interviews where analysed by a qualitative content analysis. The findings show that the preschoolteachers are thinking that they have good conditions to be able to teach thechildren about physical activity. With good conditions they mean that the preschool have a good playground to play in with challenges, close to the woodsand to other preschools. The preschool teachers also thought they had goodconditions because they had some education in physical activity during theirtime as teachers. The findings also show that the guidelines in the curriculumis hard to interpret, they are wide guidelines so they need to be put in to smallerpieces. The preschool teachers also thought that the guidelines were withoutbackground information and which makes them hard to apply in the preschooleducation. The preschool teachers also agreed that they need to be a responsiveteacher to encourage the children to physical activity. The results also show usthat the preschool teachers need more knowledge about how to include children with different disability in the physical activities.
