Michael Foucault’s concept of power has been used in order to analyze court-cases and interviews. People end up in trafficking primarily because of poverty and corruption. The victims social background is not usually mentioned in the courts judgement, if it’s mentioned it is referred as background information in the court-cases. All people need to work to make it difficult for traffickers to do their business. We need to raise awareness about labor force exploitation. As long as the demand for services is available, human trafficking will continue to take place.
