Genusskapande i modern ungdomslitteratur : En närläsningsstudie av de mest utlånade ungdomsromanerna på två folkbibliotek år 2017

Sammanfattning: The aim of this study was to determine how the gender aspect is highlighted in the description of protagonists within twelwe young adult novels. The novels were the most read novels among teenagers in 2017, according to the statistics from two libraries in Sweden. By intensive reading of all the novels, we could conclude that the protagonists weren’t described with stereotypical characteristics for male and female, regardless of the biological sex. Furthermore, we could also conclude that the construction of gender could be problematised among the protagonists in these twelwe novels.
