An Urban Nature Experience

Sammanfattning: An urban nature experience – an urban park where people can experience and improve the relationship between human and nature. This is an exhibition of nature in an urban environment. Here you can experience the nature with all of your senses; sight, smell, touch, sound and taste. Research has shown that the more people are exposed to nature, the more they appreciate it, and the more environmentally friendly they behave. The project turns a central waterfront in Malmö from a paved parking lot to green and blue spaces for biodiversity and recreation. This project handles three different matters; The effects of climate change (heavy rainstorms), nature experiences and connect the existing city with the new planned area for Nyhamnen. The effects of climate change have been present throughout the design and the environmentally friendly solutions are evident and act as an element of education.
