    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to examine the sci-fi horror comedy film Ghostbusters (1984) from an exegetical perspective of reception history with a focus on questions of apocalypticism and apocalypse. This splits the study in two, with the first question being what the four ghostbusters of the movie mean when they talk about the end of the world in a biblical context: their apocalyptic hermeneutic.     Sammanfattning : Today the climate in the arctic regions are changing at a rapid rate, faster than any speed previously recorded in human history but how is it impacting the geopolitical situation in these regions? New territory is being created by the ice melting and new natural resources are being found, how can this impact the current situation? This study looks at and discusses the current geopolitical situation in the Arctic using two theories from international relations, realism and liberalism and how the situation can develop using these theories. From a realist standpoint it is a balance of power held in check primarily by nuclear weapons. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to analyse the contemporary art critical reception of Siri Derkert’s Ristningar i naturbetong (translates to Engravings in natural concrete) (1965) at the metro station of Östermalmstorg in central Stockholm, and further contextualising the reception within the art debate of modern and public art in 1960’s Sweden. Using linguist Norman Fairclough’s three step-discourse analysis as both methodological and theoretical starting points, combined with art historian Wolfgang Kemp's reception aesthetics, archived newspaper articles, principally from the year 1965, are read and analysed in the study.
