  1. 6. Hosting Capacity Methods Considering Complementarity between Solar and Wind Power : A Case Study on a Swedish Regional Grid

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Energisystem

    Författare :Emma Andersson; Maja Abrahamsson Bolstad; [2023]
    Nyckelord :hosting capacity; hosting capacity methods; renewable power generation; power grid; power system analysis; complementarity; solar power; wind power; deterministic method; time series method;

    Sammanfattning : The demand for electrical power is growing due to factors such as population growth, urbanisation, and the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources. To be able to keep up with the changes in electricity demand, the Swedish power grid must connect more renewable power generation, but also  increase its transmission capacity. LÄS MER

  2. 7. Multiple-Emitter Super-resolution Imaging using the Alternating Descent Conditional Gradient Method

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för astronomi och teoretisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Dolev Illouz; [2023]
    Nyckelord :super-resolution; alternating descent conditional gradient method; ADCG; multiple-emitter localization; nanoscale imaging; single molecule tracking; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the state-of-the-art 2D super-resolution technique alternating descent conditional gradient (ADCG) method's ability to accurately localize fluorophores in diffraction-limited single molecule images (SMI) and analyze the impact of pre-processing and post-processing modules on ADCG's fluorophore localization. A synthetic dataset obtained from the 2013 Grand Challenge localization microscopy and a temporally linked dataset obtained from an unpublished set of Optical DNA mapping experiments performed by Jonathan Jeffet at the NanoBioPhotonix Lab at Tel-Aviv University were initially segmented to extract their noise parameters. 3. 8. Object Recognition and Tracking of Bolts: A Comparative Analysis of CNN Models and Computer Vision Techniques : A Comparison of CNN Models and Tracking Algorithms

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Serhat Bulun; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The newer generation industry 4.0 focuses on development of both flexibility and autonomy for power tools used by companies in different mechanical areas and assembly lines. One area for automation is the application of computer vision in power tools to detect, identify and track bolts. LÄS MER

  4. 9. Teleoperation of an Autonomous Ground-Penetrating Radar for Non-Destructive Surveying: Design and Implementation

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysik

    Författare :Rasmus Beyer; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Autonomous; GPR; Robotics;

    Sammanfattning : A lot of features that need to be scanned underground should not be disturbed, from waterlines to unmarked graves. A non-invasive way of probing underground is Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR). GPR finds differences in materials with radar waves. However, GPR is human-operated and its position is generally determined with a GPS. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Autonomous Navigation: LIDAR-based SLAM, Terrain of Technology Explored

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Oscar Sanner; [2023]
    Nyckelord :MSc; SLAM; Pathing; ICP; FastSLAM; LIDAR; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, an autonomous system capable of navigating and mapping unknown environments is developed. The solution uses a family of algorithms called SLAM or simultaneous localization and mapping, capable of mapping the environment and retaining accurate position data without external sensors such as GPS.
