Hur använder sig regissören stilistiskt och filmtekniskt av rörelse i de tre filmerna? Hur tar sig väder och andra naturfenomen uttryck i de tre filmerna och vilken funktion har de där? Filmerna som analyseras är Drunken Angel (Yoidore tenshi/Den berusade ängeln, 1948), Stray Dog (Nora inu/ Revolvern, 1949) och The Hidden Fortress (Kakushi toride no san akunin/ Den vilda flykten, 1958).
