  1. 1. Chasing the Rainbow when Implementing a Just Culture in European Air Traffic Management

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Riskhantering och Samhällssäkerhet

    Författare :Razvan Ularescu; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Aviation; Safety; Regulation EU No.376 2014; Occurrence Reporting; Just Culture; Criminalisation of aviation professionals; Air Traffic Management; FLMU06; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : In the wake of some high-profile accidents such as Gonesse (2000), Linate (2001) and Überlingen (2002), a trend of criminalisation of aviation professionals was noticeable. Recently, this trend was also seen in cases of operational incidents that did not lead to injury, loss of life or damage to property. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Come Fly with Me (Sustainably) : Pathways to Sustainable General Aviation and Private Pilot Training

    Magister-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Miljövetenskap

    Författare :Michael Stiebe; [2022]
    Nyckelord :General Aviation; Sustainable Aviation; Sustainable Development; Electric Aviation; Noise Pollution; Leaded Fuel; AVGAS 100LL; Tetraethyl Lead Phaseout; Pilot Training; Recreational Aviation; Switzerland;

    Sammanfattning : Whereas commercial aviation is attempting to achieve the reduction of its substantial carbon footprint, general aviation’s (GA) climate change contribution is negligibly small, which is why the sector is facing other sustainability challenges mainly entailing the operation of dated technology and aircraft, increasing regulatory constraints, rising costs, noise emissions, and popular discontent, as well as remaining the last mobility sector in the world to still use leaded fuels. Throughout recent years, there have been remarkable sustainability trends in GA as well as heightened efforts to improve its emissions profile (noise, pollutants, CO2) and environmental reputation, for instance by the increased use of electric aircraft, especially for private pilot training. 3. 3. Safety Management Systems in micro and small air operators: mission possible?

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Riskhantering och Samhällssäkerhet

    Författare :Stéphane de Wolf; [2021]
    Nyckelord :air operator; aviation; business aviation; civil aviation authorities; commercial air operator; corporate flight department; decoupling; institutional theory; isomorphism; management system; micro enterprise; non-commercial air operator; occupational health and safety; OHS; PDCA; personal safety; performance-based regulation; process safety; quality management; safety; Safety Management Systems; self-regulation; small enterprise; SMS; FLMU06; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis explores the rationality, completeness and functioning of Safety Management Systems (SMS) amongst micro- and small-sized air operators in business aviation. In the absence of thorough literature in this sector of aviation, a survey of prior research on OHS(MS) and on non-aviation micro/small enterprises (MSE) provided a collection of factors contributing to their safety performance.     Nyckelord :Air Traffic Control ATC ; Air Traffic Controller ATCo ; Unmanned Aerial Vehicles;

    Sammanfattning : The aviation industry is under increasing pressure to reduce cost and manage the increased number of passengers. One area under pressure is the Air Traffic Control. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Från ett fel till två rätt : en kvalitativ studie om ansatser för säkerhets- och tillsynsarbete inom svensk luftfart

    Magister-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för teknik och hälsa (STH)

    Författare :Oscar Arman; Klara Hall; [2017]
    Nyckelord :Safety-I; Safety-II; tillsynsmyndighet; säkerhetsarbete; luftfart;

    Sammanfattning : Luftfart har i takt med en ökad globalisering fått en naturlig roll i samhället. Samtidigt blir de teknologiska och automatiserade system som interagerar med människor och organisationer alltmer komplexa. LÄS MER
