1. Proton Arc Therapy Optimization
Master-uppsats, KTH/Optimeringslära och systemteoriSammanfattning : Cancer is ranked among the leading causes of death in the world. During the last decades, the development of advanced cancer treatment software has had an increasingly important role in its treatment. To treat cancer, there are many different therapies, one of which is radiation therapy. LÄS MER
2. Effect of bladder volume changes and verification of CTV on CBCT for rectal cancer patients
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Medicinsk strålningsfysik, Lund; Lunds universitet/SjukhusfysikerutbildningenSammanfattning : Background and purpose: During radiotherapy, rectal cancer patients show inter-fractional internal motion that effects the delivered dose distribution. The purpose of this work is to study I) the inter-fractional bladder volume change, II) the effect of bladder volume change on bowel dose distribution, III) the effect of bladder optimization on the relationship between bladder volume and bowel dose and IV) the possibilities and difficulties of validating the clinical target volume (CTV) using a surrogate on cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans. 3. Accuracy of MLC-tracking for inversely optimized arc therapy treatments of varying complexity for two MLCs
4. Empirical measurements to ensure compliance with post therapy dose constraints to family members of radioiodine therapy patients
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Medicinsk strålningsfysik (tills m KI)Sammanfattning : Radioiodine has been used in nuclear medicine for the treatment of thyroid diseases such as Thyroid Cancer and Thyrotoxicosis for many years. The treatment renders the patient radioactive. To minimize the dose to the patients’ relatives and the general public, restric-tions are imposed on the behaviour of the patient. LÄS MER
