1. The paint loss of Callmander’s stained glass windows: An investigation of the prevalence and causes behind the paint loss on Callmander and Svenska Glasmåleri AB’s stained glass windows
Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvårdSammanfattning : This MA-thesis investigates the loss of grisaille paint in the stained-glass windows created by the artist Reinhold Callmander and Svenska Glasmåleri AB, with the aim of understanding the prevalence as well as the reasons behind the issue. Stained glass has historically been in the periphery of conservation. LÄS MER
2. Indocyanine-green fluorescence imaging to detect anastomotic insufficiency after esophagectomy
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/FörbränningsfysikSammanfattning : This research project is concerned with the development of simulation models and image analysis algorithms, as well as instrumentation for characterizing anastomotic leakages after a patient has undergone surgery for esophageal cancer. Anastomotic leakage is a high-incidence complication after esophagectomy, a surgical procedure for esophageal cancer. LÄS MER
3. Nya metoder för fernissaborttagning – En komparativ studie
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvårdSammanfattning : In recent years, new varnish removal methods have emerged in conservation, with two notable approaches: the tissue-gel composite method, involving gel-coated tissue material pressed onto varnished surfaces for simultaneous dissolution and binding, and the use of Evolon® CR textile saturated with solvent. Evolon® CR offers an alternative to gels and tissue-gel composites, aiming to eliminate residue from gel thickening agents and the need for mechanical cleaning, while enabling the use of non-polar solvents in a bound form. 4. FÖRUNDERSÖKNING AV EN EGYPTISK POLYKROM KISTA Dokumentation, tillståndsbeskrivning och analys
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för kulturvårdSammanfattning : On ancient Egyptian polychrome art and mainly on coffins, it was normal practice to apply a thick ground and gesso before painting the wood. Sometimes varnish was also applied. Due to fluctuating levels of relative humidity and temperature, the wood swells and shrinks, causing the layers on top of the wood to become damaged. LÄS MER
5. Image Segmentation and Object Identification in Cancer Tissue Slides from Fluorescence Microscopy
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Avdelningen Vi3Sammanfattning : In cancer research, there is a need to make accurate spatial measurements in multi-layered fluorescence microscopy images. Researchers would like to measure distances in and between biological objects such as nerves and tumours, to investigate questions which includes if nerve distribution in and around tumours can have a prognostic value in cancer diagnostics.
