1. Learning a Grasp Prediction Model for Forestry Applications
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysikSammanfattning : Since the advent of machine learning and machine vision methods, progress has been made in tackling the long-standing research question of autonomous grasping of arbitrary objects using robotic end-effectors. Building on these efforts, we focus on a subset of the general grasping problem concerning the automation of a forwarder. LÄS MER
2. Uranium nitride synthesis by gas/gas reaction of UF6 and NH3
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : This thesis project aims to develop an innovative technique for the production of high-purity uranium nitride (UN) through the ammonolysis of fluorides. The desired objective is to perform a controlled gas/gas reaction between uranium hexafluoride (UF6) and ammonia (NH3) at 800°C. LÄS MER
3. Localized and extended states in finite-sized mosaic Wannier-Stark lattices
Master-uppsats, KTH/Tillämpad fysikSammanfattning : Anderson localization occurs when an otherwise conductive solid becomes insulatingdue to a sufficiently large degree of disorder in the medium. The electron band energy(as a function of disorder) at which this transition between extended and localizedelectron states occur is called the mobility edge (ME) and is energy-dependent only in3-dimensional systems. 4.
5. MANGO - Generating 2D-Magnetic Field Maps From Normal-Conducting Magnets Of Experimental Areas
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : This thesis discusses the development of MANGO, a tool created to model normal-conducting magnets which were installed in the 1970s in the experimental areas at CERN, and store their analysis. MANGO formulates an answer to two problems faced by the physicists of the Beam Department when they model a beam line: first, how to produce new magnetic field maps and, second, how to easily access existing ones? It contains a multi-use package that offers an automated process to produce magnetic field maps from finite-element models of magnets. LÄS MER
