2. Energy Sail Ships
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/EnergiteknikSammanfattning : Oceans offer a vast supply of energy through ever-present winds and currents. Offshore wind energy alone could provide many times the current global energy demand. One concept approach that aims to tap into these reserves are energy sail ship, wind powered vessel that take advantage of oceanic energy to produce and store harvested energy. LÄS MER
3. Design of an off-grid renewable-energy hybrid system for a grocery store: a case study in Malmö, Sweden
Magister-uppsats, Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för ekonomi, teknik och naturvetenskapSammanfattning : On planet Earth, fossil fuels are the most important sources of energy. However, these resources are limited and being depleted dramatically throughout last decades. Finding feasible substitutes of these resources is an essential duty for humanity. LÄS MER
5. Wind impact on sea ice motion in the Arctic
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/FörbränningsfysikSammanfattning : In order to examine how the wind at 10 m above the surface influences the sea ice motion in the Arctic Ocean, a correlation coefficient between wind and ice drift, an angle between wind direction and ice velocity and a reduction factor of the ice speed relative to the wind speed were calculated, using statistical methods. This was done on a 10 km by 10 km grid, for both winter, January to March, and summer, July to September, with data from 2014 and 2015. LÄS MER
