    Sammanfattning : Studien har sitt ursprung i ett intresse av boendestödjares efterfrågade kompetensbehov för att säkerställa utförandet av sitt arbete utifrån rådande lagstiftning och uppdragsgivares önskemål. Syftet var vidare att beskriva och förstå på vilket sätt brukarens rätt till självbestämmande och delaktighet påverkar boendestödjarens arbete och kompetensbehov, samt hur boendestödjare upplever att arbetsgivaren hanterar kompetenshöjande insatser.
