  1. 1. A theoretical framework for interpretation and prediction of magneto-optical measurements

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Materialteori

    Författare :Viktor Frilén; [2023]
    Nyckelord :moke; tmoke; lmoke; pmoke; magneto-optical effects; layered media; dielectric function; maxwells equations; dielectric tensor; linear respons; magnetism; light induced transistions; DFT; SO;

    Sammanfattning : The interplay of experiments and theory is essential to deepen our understanding of magnetization dynamics. This thesis aims to serve as a bridge between these two aspects by establishing a mathematical framework that enables the computation of optical observable quantities based on theoretical models. 2. 2. Reducing Power Losses by Optimizing Cooling in Final Annealing of Non-Oriented Electrical Steel

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Materialvetenskap

    Författare :Emil Rosqvist; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Surahammars Bruks AB produces non-oriented electrical steel used in several types of motors and generators. Because of recent years exponentially growing market for electrical vehicles, non-oriented electrical steel used in electrical vehicle motors is becoming an increasingly important product. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Petrography of impactites from the Dellen impact structure, Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Robert Mroczek; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Dellen; Impact; structure; magnetite; apatite; shock waves; shock-metamorphic; features; Impactite; petrography; scanning electron microscope; SEM; geology; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Identification and characterization of shock-metamorphic features in hypervelocity impact craters is important for our understanding of how shock waves interact with geologic materials and how impact craters form, which in turn is essential to our understanding of what role impact cratering played in the development of our solar system. Of particular interest are accessory minerals like apatite, which contains various volatiles that can affect the atmosphere of a body, or magnetite whose magnetic properties constitute a remote sensing indicator which allows us to study and understand the internal structures of distant bodies. 4. 4. Quantitative susceptibility mapping of the knee: A comparison of approaches for addressing fatty tissue

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Sjukhusfysikerutbildningen

    Författare :Cornelia Säll; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Medicine and Health Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Background/purpose Quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) is an MRI-based post processing technique to evaluate the magnetic susceptibility, χ, of human tissue using phase data. While brain imaging has been the most common application, other areas have also raised interest. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The Magnetic Properties and Fabrics of Upper Pleistocene Loess on La Motte, Jersey, and their Palaeoclimate Implications

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Anya Hawkins; [2022]
    Nyckelord :last glacial; magnetic susceptibility; AMS; temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility; palaeowind reconstruction;

    Sammanfattning : The island of Jersey is an interesting location for palaeoclimate reconstruction given the likely impact of variations in North Atlantic climate and European ice sheet extent during the last glacial period considering their proximal location. These last glacial climatic variations are recorded in the loess sequence from La Motte, Jersey and in order to reconstruct these changes, a detailed magnetic analysis was performed. LÄS MER
