   Sammanfattning : This thesis derives the explicit form of the elements of the (1/2,1/2) representation of the Lorentz group, by actually performing a direct product of the chiral (1/2,0)- and (0,1/2)-representations. The Lorentz transformations of fourvectors are thereafter recovered from this direct-product representation, allowing the derivation of a transformation matrix between the fourvector- and direct product basis.    Sammanfattning : Observing in the infrared has many benefits, such as seeing through the interstellar dust in the galaxy, easier use of adaptive optics, and better flux ratios for direct observations of exoplanets. Before the infrared spectral range can be utilised for highly accurate stellar spectroscopy there is a need for a better understanding of both stellar modelling and the atomic physics that go into forming spectral lines.    Sammanfattning : In this bachelor thesis we investigate the gauge sector of a specific composite two-Higgs doublet model, allowing more freedom for the gauge couplings and compositeness scales. From the underlying parameters we generate model realisations with the correct top mass, Higgs mass and electroweak vacuum expectation value, that satisfy theoretical constraints such as unitarity and perturbativity.
