1. Projective Geometry in Kinematics
Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för matematik och matematisk statistikSammanfattning : In this thesis, we study projective geometry and show a connection to kinematics. We show how the group of rigid body motions in three-dimensional space can be parameterized on a hyperbolic quadric in a seven-dimensional projective space. We also show that this quadric is a geometry with triality, and we discuss triality from a kinematic viewpoint. LÄS MER
2. On Geometric Number
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Analys och partiella differentialekvationerSammanfattning : This is an overview of geometric algebras in dimensions 0-4 from the perspective of the concept of number itself. It is developed from a historic viewpoint and investigates and develops a pedagogic approach emphasizing the geometric aspects of the subject. LÄS MER
3. Automation of forest road inventory using computer vision and machine learning
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysikSammanfattning : There are around 300, 000 kilometer of gravel roads throughout the Swedish countryside, used every day by common people and companies. These roads face constant wear due to harsh weather as well as from heavy traffic, and thus, regular maintenance is required to keep up the road standard. LÄS MER
4. Murphy's Law for Schemes
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för teknikvetenskap (SCI)Sammanfattning : This paper aims at presenting the necessary tools to prove that a scheme of finite type over Z exhibits the same singularities as those which occur on a Grassmann variety. First, basic theory regarding the combinatorial objects matroids is presented. LÄS MER
5. Unsupervised 3D Human Pose Estimation
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : The thesis proposes an unsupervised representation learning method to predict 3D human pose from a 2D skeleton via a VAEGAN (Variational Autoencoder Generative Adversarial Network) hybrid network. The method learns to lift poses from 2D to 3D using selfsupervision and adversarial learning techniques. LÄS MER
