1. Surface functionalization of cellulose fibers and exploration of its influence in ion exchange chromatography
2. Sustainable Polymer Production: Investigating Synthesis and Copolymerization of Cyclic Ketene Acetals
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/KemiteknikSammanfattning : The large amount of non-degradable plastic waste has become a significant environmental concern, leading to an increased need for degradable plastics. Here in, to create degradable polymers, polyesters were produced through radical ring opening polymerization using cyclic ketene acetals. LÄS MER
3. Modification of lignin derivatives for polymerization in water
4. Novel materials from lignocellulosic sources- can they replace thermoplastics?
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Fiber- och polymerteknologiSammanfattning : Plastic waste is a severe environmental problem in today's society which has been noticed and discussed during the last couple of years. A constant increase of production over the last decades hasled to a large amount of plastic waste ending up in oceans as microplastics. LÄS MER
5. Short wavelength UV–LED photoinitiated radical polymerization of acrylate–based coating systems—A comparison with conventional UV curing.
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/StrukturkemiSammanfattning : The present work was performed at Sherwin–Williams Sweden group AB with the objective of comparing short-wavelength light emitting diodes (UVB/UVC) with the conventional mercury arc lamp as a curing method of acrylate-based, UV-paint undergoing free-radical polymerization when exposed to UV-radiation. Due to environmental and health risks, mercury-doped radiation sources will be phased out in the near future, according to the United Nations Minamata convention, hence new alternatives are needed.
