  1. 1. The influence of spatial variations in rain intensity for cloudburst modelling : a case study of the Gävle cloudburst

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Fanny Jeppsson Stahl; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Flood modelling; pluvial flooding; spatial variations in rain intensity; design storms; MIKE 21 Flow Model FM; 2D hydraulic modelling; Skyfallsmodellering; pluviala översvämningar; spatiala variationer i regnintensitet; typregn; MIKE 21 Flow Model FM;

    Sammanfattning : With an intensification of heavy rain events in a changing climate and a rapid urbanization the risk for pluvial flooding is increasing in our societies. Pluvial flooding, which is formed when the rainfall rate exceeds the infiltration or drainage rate, can occur rapidly and cause great damages, large economic losses and possibly risk human lives. 2. 2. Flood modelling in urban areas : A comparative study of MIKE 21 and SCALGO Live

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Evelina Andersson; [2021]
    Nyckelord :SCALGO Live; MIKE 21; Stormwater Model; Flood Model; Cloudburst; Inundation; Comparative;

    Sammanfattning : Pluvial flooding originating from extreme rainfall is problematic and an increasing issue in Sweden. Higher requirements on adapting cities in urban areas to these challenges have been placed on both municipalities and the county administration. Thus, an increased need for water modelling, both in existing and planned areas have emerged. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Implementation of Citizens’ Observations in Urban Pluvial Flood Modelling

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Fredrik Schück; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Calibration; Crowdsourcing; Citizen science; CDS-rainfall; 2D flood model; Spatial variability;

    Sammanfattning : Damages caused by urban pluvial floods are believed to increase due to climate change and urbanization as more citizens are impacted in densely populated cities and extreme rainfalls occur more frequently with higher intensities. To prepare cities for these calamities, urban pluvial flood models are created to provide knowledge about how an extreme rainfall event could inundate the studied city. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Skyfallsanalys i urban miljö : En komparativ studie mellan MIKE 21 och MIKE FLOOD

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Elin Andersson; [2020]
    Nyckelord :1D-2D modell; 2D modell; dagvattenledningsnät; skyfallskartering;

    Sammanfattning : Redan idag har många kommuner i Sverige drabbats av skyfall och ett förändrande klimat indikerar att skyfall kommer bli vanligare. Översvämningar till följd av skyfall kan ge konsekvenser som skador på hus, vägar och även utgöra fara för människors hälsa. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Nutrients spreading with cloudburst modeling

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Nikita Smiyanov; [2020]
    Nyckelord :MIKE21; 2D-modeling; nutrients; phosphorus; nitrogen; cloudburst; land-use; MIKE21; 2D-modellering; närsalter; fosfor; kväve; skyfall; markanvändning;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change and environmental disasters are strongly dependent. Humanity is facing considerable changes in environmental adaptions and remediation of contaminated sites. Water is a valuable resource that should be protected and prevented from hazardous influences. LÄS MER
