1. Biopolymers processed and used as enzyme carriers
2. Creating A Chicken Analogue with Mycoprotein
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)Sammanfattning : To meet the growing demand of meat alternatives, this project was dedicated to creating a chicken analogue prototype with mycoprotein. Within the project, two approaches of alginate gelation, external (diffusion) crosslinking and internal crosslinking, were studied in this particular food matrix. LÄS MER
3. 3D printing of alginates into tubular structures resembling human airways
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknikSammanfattning : Tissue shortage for lung transplantation remains a problem worldwide as lung transplantation is often the only available option with numerous possible complications. Generating lung tissue ex-vivo has been proposed as one way to potentially overcome this shortage. LÄS MER
4. Ultrasonic Assisted Drying and its Effect on 3D Printability of Minced Beef and Other Foods
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)Sammanfattning : The aim of this master thesis project was to investigate the impact on drying kinetics of ultrasound during air drying by a new ultrasonic transducer, on which a patent application has been filed by CSIRO. Convection drying using hot air is currently the conventional method of drying in the industry due to its simplicity and low cost. LÄS MER
5. Additive manufacturing of lunar regolith simulant using direct ink writing
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad materialvetenskapSammanfattning : In this work, the use of a lunar regolith simulant as feedstock for the direct ink writing additive manufacturing process is explored, the purpose of which is to enable future lunar in-situ resource utilisation. The feasibility of this approach is demonstrated in a laboratory setting by manufacturing objects with different geometries using methyl cellulose or sodium alginate as binding agents and water as liquid phase together with the lunar regolith simulant EAC-1A to create a viscous, printable ‘ink’ that is used in combination with a custom three-axis gantry system to produce green bodies for subsequent sintering.
