21. Preparations for photon external beam radiotherapy treatment planning of small animals
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/SjukhusfysikerutbildningenSammanfattning : Introduction:The XenX is a small animal irradiation system that acquires high-resolution cone-beam tomography (CBCT) images of small animals and treats small animals with higher precision than medical linear accelerators. MuriSlice is a software for CBCT image reconstruction. LÄS MER
22. Towards laser fabrication of soft neural electrodes
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Laboratoriet för organisk elektronik; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakultetenSammanfattning : Electronic devices define our everyday lives. They are often large, rigid, and brittle. Modern medical science has come so far as to start using miniature electronic devices to monitor many types of diseases. LÄS MER
23. Simulating and Testing the Polarimetric Response of the X-ray Polarimetry Telescope XL-Calibur
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : X-ray polarimetry, the study of the polarisation of X-ray light, is a powerful and rapidly developing tool for astrophysics, which promises to help answer outstanding questions about the physics of extreme objects such as pulsars, X-ray binaries and active galactic nuclei. The balloon-borne telescope XL-Calibur will be the first instrument to study the polarisation of hard X-rays (with energies between 10 and 100 keV) in detail, correlating with the soft X-ray observations of IXPE to provide further tests of polarisation-dependent x-ray emission models in extreme objects. 24. Magnetic Resonance Elastography in Muscle Tissue based on Anisotropic Assumption
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)Sammanfattning : Mechanical properties of muscle tissue are linked to its function. Magnetic Resonance Elastography (MRE) has the capability toquantitively measure these mechanical properties of soft tissue in-vivo. However, most MRE methods assume tissue isotropy during MRE reconstruction which is not an appropriate assumption for muscle tissue. LÄS MER
25. MICRO-CLIMATE CHARACTERIZATION OF COMFORT MATERIALS : A CLIMATE ANALYSIS OF HIGH RESILIENCE FOAM IN MICRO-CLIMATE CONDITIONS
Master-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Framtidens energiSammanfattning : Currently, it is widely recognised that the operational energy consumption of most building types currently outweighs their embodied energy by some margin. However, as we make dramatic increases in energy efficiency the embodied energy of the materials and components that we use will become proportionally larger and may account for a substantial proportion of the energy associated with buildings in the future.
