1. IMPLICATION FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF GOTHENBURG TO ALIGN WITH THE GOVERNMENT’S TARGET REGARDING CLIMATE NEUTRALITY BY 2045 - Scenarios and Consequences
Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskapSammanfattning : It is widely acknowledged that one of the most significant global challenges of the 21 st century is climate change. In its Fifth Assessment Report (2014), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) described the present extent of the problem and the hazards involved, citing greenhouse gas emissions from human activities as the primary contributor to global warming since the mid-20th century. 2. Digital Front End Algorithms for Sub-Band Full Duplex
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknikSammanfattning : Sub-band full duplex is a new communication scheme technology, where a single frequency band is partitioned into sub-bands for downlink (DL) and up-link(UL) transmissions, and both can take place simultaneously. The idea behind the sub-band full duplex development is to improve the throughput, and coverage and reduce the latency of the UL communication by allowing the UL reception during the DL transmission. 3. Spectromorphological Reductions : Exploring and developing approaches for sound-based notation of live electronics
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Musik, medier och teaterSammanfattning : In this master’s thesis, a sound-based notation system is explored and developed in the composition and performance of a musical work for live electronics. My approach builds on existing systems for electroacoustic music analysis, most notably Dennis Smalley’s (1997) theory of spectromorphology and the symbolic language of Lasse Thoresen & Andreas Hedman (2007) based on Pierre Schaeffer’s typo-morphology, as well as Mattias Sköld’s (2023) adaptation of this system for composition and transcription (Sound Notation). 4. 3D geospatial data requirements for simulating noise using the Nord2000 model: Case study of the impact of building façade types and roof configurations on simulated traffic noise levels
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : The European Union implements the Environmental Noise Directive (END), which offers a framework for evaluating and assessing environmental noise. All EU members are required to create strategic noise maps to inform the public about noise pollution and its effects. LÄS MER
5. A Machine Learning Approach to Skin Cancer Delineation on Photoacoustic Imaging
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Beräkningsbiologi och biologisk fysik - Genomgår omorganisationSammanfattning : Skin cancer is a growing public health concern due to its prevalence among the population. Current clinical procedures require high invasiveness and multiple surgeries, which are responsible for patient discomfort and high medical expenses. LÄS MER
