    Sammanfattning : Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy techniques were used to study the kinetics of gas-phase reactions of three lactones, γ-valerolactone (GVL), 2(5H)-furanone (2(5HF) and 3-methyl-2(5H)-furanone (3M2(5H)F) with Cl atoms, OH radicals and O3 respectively.     Sammanfattning : An experiment on Cosmic rays performed by Carl D Anderson led to the accidental discovery of the positron in 1932. The discovery was a turning point in particle physics which led to numerous other theories and has been discussed by scientists all over the world.     Sammanfattning : This report explores a novel application of the initial state radiation (radiative return) method in an electron-positron collider, to measure the electron-positron annihilation into a neutral pion and a photon  reaction cross section at low energies.
