  1. 1. Influence of Varying Electric Light Distribution on Melanopic Equivalent Daylight Illuminance and Lighting Energy Use

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign

    Författare :Rebecka Ståhl; Parvathy Biju; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Alertness; Circadian Entrainment; Clear Sky; Correlated Colour Temperature; Daylighting; Direct Electric Lighting; Direct-Indirect Electric Lighting; Energy-Efficiency; Grasshopper; Integrative Lighting; LARK 2.0; Melanopic Equivalent Daylight Illuminance; Overcast Sky; Photopic Illuminance; Spectral Power Distribution.; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Human beings in modern society spend more than 90% of their time indoors to live, work, and socialize. To improve health, quality of life and task performance, integrative lighting is designed to give the right light at the right time at the eye to stimulate circadian entrainment. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Life Cycle Perspective on School Buildings’ Energy Retrofitting

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Maryam Kafashtehrani; [2022]
    Nyckelord :School; building; LCA; IDA-ICE; energy retrofitting; insulation; ventilation; photovoltaic; PV; GHG;

    Sammanfattning : The building sector contributes substantial energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Energy efficiency is the main driver for the mitigation of climate change. Schools are placed with high energy consumption and GHG emitting. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Development and Evaluation of a Road Marking Recognition Algorithm implemented on Neuromorphic Hardware

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Datavetenskap

    Författare :Santiago Bou Betran; [2022]
    Nyckelord :SpiNNaker; Neuromorphic Hardware; Spiking Neural Network; Computer vision system; Lane recognition; Autonomous driving; Line Recognition; Neuromorphic Vision Sensors; Third Generation Neural Networks; Algorithm Evaluation.; SpiNNaker; Neuromorfiska hårdvara; neuromorfiska pulserande neuronnät; Datorseende system; läser av körbanans; självkörande bilar; läser av linjer; dynamiska synsensorer; Tredje generation neuronnät; utvärdering av algoritmen.; Hardware Neuromórfico; Sistemas de visión por computador; Reconocimiento de Carril; Conducción autónoma; Sensores de visión neuromórfica; Redes neuronales de Impulsos; Redes Neuronales de Tercera Generación; Evaluación de Algoritmos.;

    Sammanfattning : Driving is one of the most common and preferred forms of transport used in our actual society. However, according to studies, it is also one of the most dangerous. One solution to increase safety on the road is applying technology to automate and prevent avoidable human errors. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Lighting to enhance cooperative learning in classrooms

    Magister-uppsats, KTH/Ljusdesign

    Författare :Tishita Aggarwal; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Cooperative learning; flexibility; variable lighting; learning performance; classroom lighting;

    Sammanfattning : Cooperative learning refers to teaching methods that encourage students to work together in small groups to help each other learn educational content. In Sweden, cooperative learning methods are used in classrooms as an educational approach to organize classroom activities into academic and social learning experiences. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Put the Light Where it is Needed

    Magister-uppsats, KTH/Ljusdesign

    Författare :Christofer Blixt; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Lighting Design Method for Urban Green Areas; Conceptual Design Proposal; Level of Contrast; Level of Light; Distribution of Light; Aesthetic Qualities; Perceived Safety;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis I have analyzed how the phenomenon level of contrast, a consequence of the relation between level of light and distribution of light, works within urban green areas. For this particular site, the too high level of contrast is a result of the high level of light distributed 1) in the direction of oncoming pedestrians and 2) in a single zone of light and 3) on a too condensed surface area and 4) in a space with multiple vertical elements (in a dark space with low reflectance values).
