Sammanfattning: Abstract Titel: Hjälpen till ett drogfritt liv- En kvalitativ studie om återfall och återfallsprevention. Writers: Jonna Håkansson och Louise Hag. Keywords: Abuse, addiction, relapse, relapse prevention.     Abuse is a major problem and leads to negative consequences for the individual, such as illness, criminality and death. It’s also a big problem in the society, because the most common crimes are drug-related and the consequences lead to high economic costs. In order to overcome an addiction, treatment is often required. It's common to relapse during treatment before the clients have achieved stability in being drug- free. This essay aims to examine how the relapse is perceived by different therapist, how the relapse is treated and what measures therapists can take on a preventive basis.   Questions • What perceptions are there about what a relapse can be? • How is a relapse treated? • How can the preventive work be done?   Six interviews were done at the therapist’s workplaces and the analysis of the material has been implemented in a hermeneutic approach, and with the psychodynamic and the behavioristic theory. The result shows that despite of which model the treatment is based on, a disease-oriented or a behavior-oriented model, it’s not differ with each other when it comes to relapse, how a relapse is treated and how the preventive work can be done. We think that it’s interesting because the models have different approach when it comes to human behavior. The disease-oriented model is characterized by a psychodynamic ground, it assume that the human behavior is affected by our functions in our inner body, while the behavioristic theory assumes that our behavior is taught.
