Detta är en Kandidat-uppsats från Lunds universitet/Statsvetenskapliga institutionen

Sammanfattning: This study is about the Europeanization of national politics in Sweden, based on the analysis of empirical data collected from the government ministries and offices. The focus of the study is to answer which policy areas are subject to a high-level of Europeanization, as well as investigate whether we can identify the level of Europeanization within the Swedish government ministries and the overall society. The theory being that policy areas with a high level of Europeanization will be reflected in the work of the government. The study accomplishes this by analyzing empirical data regarding how often the ministries elect to inform the parliament about their work within the EU, as well as the level to which the ministries elect to seek opinions from the society. The result of the study shows that we can identify policy areas with high Europeanization through analysis of the number of cases the ministries elect to inform the parliament about their work. It also shows that we can see a general level of the society's level of Europeanization through the percentage of cases where the government elect to seek public opinions.
