    Sammanfattning : This is a comparative cultural study from a literary perspective, focusing on characterization in Western and Eastern storytelling. By comparing a selection of Korean dramas with Anglo-American TV series and films, I want to examine possible similarities and differences in the character representation, emotional expressions and philosophies of the stories, as well as how these may be grounded in different cultural structures.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this thesis is to analyse the debate surrounding the implementation of specific library issue systems (the Browne issue system and the Gothenburg issue system) in early twentieth century Sweden.
