1. Generation of a metrical grid informed by Deep Learning-based beat estimation in jazz-ensemble recordings
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : This work uses a Deep Learning architecture, specifically a state-of-the-art Temporal Convolutional Network, to track the beat and downbeat positions in jazz-ensemble recordings to derive their metrical grid. This network architecture has been used successfully for general beat tracking purposes. LÄS MER
2. Predicting the outcome of IVF treatments using forward selection regression and linear discriminant analysis
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistikSammanfattning : As more and more In Vitro Fertilizaiton (IVF) treatments are performed each year, there is a need to better predict the outcomes of different stages of the treatment and hence get a better understanding of which hormonal and physical parameters affect the treatment outcome and in what way. In this study, the effect of interaction between baseline AMH (anti-mullerian hormone) and DFI (DNA fragmentation index) on the chance of obtaining at least one good quality embryo was investigated, but no significance was found. 3. Trade-offs between Quality and Efficiency in Multilingual Dense Retrieval
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : As the amount of content online grows, information retrieval becomes increasingly crucial. Traditional information retrieval does not take the text order into account and is also dependent on exact text matching between the query and the document. LÄS MER
4. Automatic Podcast Chapter Segmentation : A Framework for Implementing and Evaluating Chapter Boundary Models for Transcribed Audio Documents
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Podcasts are an exponentially growing audio medium where useful and relevant content should be served, which requires new methods of information sorting. This thesis is the first to look into the state-of-art problem of segmenting podcasts into chapters (structurally and topically coherent sections). LÄS MER
5. Techniques for Multilingual Document Retrieval for Open-Domain Question Answering : Using hard negatives filtering, binary retrieval and data augmentation
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Open Domain Question Answering (OpenQA) systems find an answer to a question from a large collection of unstructured documents. In this information era, we have an immense amount of data at our disposal. However, filtering all the content and trying to find the answers to our questions can be too time-consuming and ffdiicult.
