  1. 21. Impact of a Precarious Employment Situation on Short-term Fertility Intentions: A Comparative Study of Migrants and Natives in Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Sociologiska institutionen

    Författare :Mimmi Lounela; [2023]
    Nyckelord :precarious employment; unemployment; short-term fertility intentions; migrants; Swedish-born;

    Sammanfattning : Over the past decades, the world has witnessed significant social and demographic changes, including a declining fertility rate in Europe, a decrease in job security and flexibilisation of the labour market, and an increasing flow of migrants to the Global North. Especially migrants have been affected by precarious work arrangements. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Classifying High-Growth Manufacturing Firms on the Swedish Stock Market:A Comparative Study Between the Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine and Artificial Neural Network

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Nationalekonomiska institutionen

    Författare :William Fridström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Machine Learning; Econometrics; Firm Growth; Binary Classification; Prediction; Model comparision.; Business and Economics;

    Sammanfattning : This is a comparative study between two modern machine learning algorithms, the Support Vector Machine and Artificial neural network, and one traditional econometric model, the Logistic regression. The main objective is to compare their performance by classifying high-growth companies. LÄS MER

  3. 23. Sociala skyddsnätets paradox : En kvantitativ studie av välfärdsregimernas inverkan på sociala kontakter och nätverksdiversitet

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för samhällsstudier (SS)

    Författare :Frida Kraus; Jesper Gullstrand; [2023]
    Nyckelord :social capital; social networks; network diversity; social welfare regime; social contacts; social isolation; logistic regression;

    Sammanfattning : This study examines the impact welfare regimes might have on the individual’s social network – more specifically, the study investigates the individuals' number of social contacts and the diversity in their social networks. Are there differences in the individual's social network between the different welfare regimes? Does this correlate with the social safety nets provided by the different regimes? The study also aims to compare the strength of this correlation with other variables such as gender, age, educational level, partnership, and employment. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Applying the Theory of Planned Behaviour to Predict the Consumption of Meat Analogues

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Graduate School

    Författare :Alexej Mikus; Milena Conny Annika Desch; [2022-08-04]
    Nyckelord :Theory of Planned Behaviour TPB ; meat analogues; perceived sensory attributes; food curiosity; brand trust; consumer intention; consumer behaviour; sustainable consumption; food consumption; confirmatory factor analysis; structural equation modelling; binary logistic regression;

    Sammanfattning : The increasing trend to consciously reduce meat consumption is accompanied by a strong growth in the supply and demand of meat analogue products. This study aims to predict the consumer intention to consume plant-based meat analogues based on an extension of Ajzen’s (1991) theory of planned behaviour (TPB) with the four factors: perceived sensory attributes, brand trust, food curiosity, and socio-demographic characteristics and lifestyle determinants. 5. 25. Predicting hotel cancellations using machine learning

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för nationalekonomi med statistik

    Författare :Enok Gartvall; Oscar Skånhagen; [2022-02-18]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Room cancellations is a big challenge for the hotel industry since the number of guest affects the whole operational setup. The purpose of the thesis is to predict hotel cancella-tions using machine learning and analyse which factors have the most influence. LÄS MER
