  1. 1. Channel Estimation and Power Control Algorithms in the Presence of Channel Aging

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Yan Bixing; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Fading channel; auto-regressive model; power allocation; uncrewed aerial vehicle networks; Fading kanal; auto-regressiv modell; krafttilldelning; obemannade flygfordonsnätverk;

    Sammanfattning : Power allocation algorithms that determine how much power should be allocated to pilot and data symbols play an important role in addressing the trade-off between accurate channel estimation and high high spectral efficiency for data symbols in the presence of time-varying fading channels. Dealing with this trade-off is highly non-trivial when the channel changes or ages rapidly in time. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Using a GIS to enable an economic, land use and energy output comparison between small wind powered turbines and large-scale wind farms: the case of Oslo, Norway.

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Colin Potter; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Geography; GIS; Wind power; Renewable energy sources; urban wind energy; urban areas; planning; vertical axis wind turbines; comparative studies; urban integrated energy systems; Oslo; Roan; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Responding to an identified knowledge gap, the study aims to determine if smaller wind turbines located on top of existing urban buildings are more resource efficient (land utilization and economically) than large scale wind farms. To answer this question, using a GIS, the resource efficiency of the Roan wind farm in Northern Norway was compared to a theoretical modeled installation of small-scale wind turbines on top of buildings within a 2km radius study zone in central Oslo. 3. 3. Prisestimering på bostadsrätter : Implementering av OCR-metoder och Random Forest regression för datadriven värdering

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Avdelningen för systemteknik

    Författare :Sofia Lövgren; Marcus Löthman; [2023]
    Nyckelord :OCR; Optical Character recognition; Random Forest regression; price estimation; housing cooperatives; machine learning; OCR; Optisk teckenigenkänning; Random Forest regression; Prisestimering; Bostadsrätter; Maskininlärning;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis explores the implementation of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) – based text extraction and random forest regression analysis for housing market valuation, specifically focusing on the impact of value factors, derived from OCR-extracted economic values from housing cooperatives’ annual reports. The objective is to perform price estimations using the Random Forest model to identify the key value factors that influence the estimation process and examine how the economic values from annual reports affect the sales price. 4. 4. Cost Estimation, Budgeting and OEE Analysis for Binder Jetting at Sandvik Additive Manufacturing Division

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Produktionsutveckling

    Författare :Ankita Shanawad; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Binder Jet Additive Manufacturing; Overall Equipment Efficiency; Key Performance Indicator;

    Sammanfattning : The master thesis at Sandvik Additive Manufacturing Division, Sandviken, aims at three things. The first step is to estimate the cost of a Binder jet Additive Manufacturing method and identify the key cost drivers in the manufacturing process, since cost estimation can help the organisation to understand the cost factors that are affecting the product's price. 5. 5. Contribution to the Understanding of the Effects of Propagation through the Ionosphere of P-band SAR Data

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknik

    Författare :Johannes Samuel Erland Rönner; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Synthetic aperture radar; Ionosphere;

    Sammanfattning : The BIOMASS mission from the European Space Agency (ESA) is designed to measurebiomass and carbon content in Earth’s forests. To account for phase changes caused byionospheric variations, a map-drift autofocus algorithm is developed, which utilises a phasescreen of the ionosphere to eliminate phase errors in the signal.
