  1. 11. Experimental Study and Modelling of Heat Transfer in Milling of Titanium Alloys

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Industriell Produktion

    Författare :Belén Cámara Herrero; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Titanium alloys; heat transfer; milling; modelling; thermal simulation; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this project is studying heat transfer to indexable cutting tools during milling of a selection of titanium alloys, relevant to the industry. To achieve this goal, both experimental and theoretical models were contemplated to formulate the current thesis. LÄS MER

  2. 12. Including Finite Larmor Radius Effects on RF Heating of Fusion Plasmas using Weak-Form Contributions in COMSOL

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Jonas Christ; [2022]
    Nyckelord :plasma; fusion; RF; radio frequency; IBW; FW; ion Bernstein wave; fast wave; simulation; FEM; finite element method; Taylor; Taylor expansion; COMSOL; MATLAB; FLR; finite larmor radius; magnetized plasma; hot plasma; thermal plasma; plasma; fusion; radiofrekvens; simulation; FEM; finita elementmethod; Taylor; Taylorutveckling; COMSOL; MATLAB; FLR; ändliga Larmorradie-effekter;

    Sammanfattning : In a fusion plasma, the ions have to be heated to reach fusion relevant temperatures. One possibility is to launch an electromagnetic wave in the radio frequency band into the plasma. This wave can resonate with the ions at their cyclotron frequency and hence, the method is called ion cyclotron resonance heating. LÄS MER

  3. 13. Air Cooling of Lithium Polymer Batteries : Experiments and Calculations on the KTH Formula Student 2022 Race Car Accumulator

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :William Olsson; Linus Grinde; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Lithium batteries work optimally at a temperature of around 15 to 35 °C, with a maximum temperature of around 60 °C. To get the most performance out of a formula student car the cooling needs to keep the battery cells within these temperatures during the competition. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Self-consistent dielectric formalism scheme for the paramagnetic electron gas under warm dense matter conditions

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Fotios Kalkavouras; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Warm Dense Matter WDM ; Quantum One-Component plasmas qOCP ; Vashishta-Singwi VS ; Dielectric Formalism;

    Sammanfattning : The present thesis aims to further a somewhat unexplored area of Warm Dense Matter (WDM) physics through the use of tools developed within the dielectric formalism. WDM is an exotic form of matter with densities close to the solid state and temperatures of several eV. LÄS MER

  5. 15. Performance Evaluation of a Photovoltaic/Thermal (PVT) Collector with Numerical Modelling

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Mila Ebrahim; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Solar energy; Renewable energy; Photovoltaic thermal collector; PV Thermal; PVT Collector; Performance; Numerical modelling; COMSOL Multiphysics; Ground Source Heat Pump; Solenergi; Förnybar energi; kominerad solcell solfångare; PVT panel; Prestanda; Numerisk modellering; COMSOL Multiphysics; Bergvärme;

    Sammanfattning : In Photovoltaic/Thermal (PVT) technology, both PV and solar thermal technology are integrated in the same module for simultaneous electricity and heat production. Research has shown that there are multiple benefits from integrating PVT collectors with a ground source heat pump (GSHP) system, since it allows for seasonal storage of thermal energy over the year.
