  1. 11. Lighting as a Placemaking tool for a Historic Urban Market Promenade

    Magister-uppsats, KTH/Ljusdesign

    Författare :Anusha Sullia Vijayananda; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Placemaking; user groups; historic image; public plaza; inclusive lighting;

    Sammanfattning : As we move forward in time, our cities are meant to be progressive, which should ideally prioritize its pedestrians and make spaces inclusive to all socio-economic groups. On the contrary, observation tells that some of our cities get designed with an “orthodox” approach by keeping in mind the interests of motorways with high mast blue-rich LED luminaires. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : Världen står idag inför en hållbarhetskris och medlemsländerna i Förenta nationerna, FN, har accepterat Agenda 2030 och de Globala målen. Det innebär ett hållbarhetsarbete på många olika plan, där målet bland annat är att klimatkrisen ska vara löst senast år 2030. LÄS MER

  4. 14. Carta ex Machina: Testing object-based machine learning and unsupervised classification in land use change detection mapping in the semi-arid governorate of Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Kristian Emil Havnsgaard Paludan; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Change detection; Land use mapping; LANDSAT MSS; LANDSAT TM; GEOBIA; Random Forest classification; ISODATA cluster classification; Object-based classification; Semi-arid agriculture; Irrigation mapping; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Sidi Bouzid, Tunisia is an inland governorate in Tunisia that has undergone a rapid agricultural and urban development since the Tunisian independence in 1952 from being a rural and largely nomadic region into a hub of irrigated agriculture. In 2010 Mohamed Bouazizi sparked the Tunisian revolution by lighting himself on fire int he city of Sidi Bouzid, with some blaming the inequality and water scarcity created by this rapid expansion in the irrigation farming as an important cause (Bayat, 2017; Malka, 2018). 5. 15. Monocular Visual Odometry for Autonomous Underwater Navigation : An analysis of learning-based monocular visual odometry approaches in underwater scenarios

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Andrea Caraffa; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Deep Learning; Monocular Visual Odometry; Computer Vision; Autonomous Underwater Navigation; Autonomous Underwater Vehicle; Djupinlärning; Monokulär Visuell Odometri; Datorseende; Autonom Undervattensnavigering; Autonomt Undervattensfordon;

    Sammanfattning : Visual Odometry (VO) is the process of estimating the relative motion of a vehicle by using solely image data gathered from the camera. In underwater environments, VO becomes extremely challenging but valuable since ordinary sensors for on-road localization are usually unpractical in these hostile environments. LÄS MER
