    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

  2. 2. Brachiopod faunal dynamics during the Silurian Ireviken Event, Gotland, Sweden

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Åsa Erlfeldt; [2006]
    Nyckelord :Ireviken Event; brachiopods; Lilliput; Silurian; Gotland; Lower Visby Formation; Upper Visby Formation; brachiopoder; Silur; Undre Visbyformationen; Övre Visbyformationen; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The brachiopod fauna from parts of the Lower and Upper Visby formations on Gotland has been investigated through a combined outcrop and literature study. The strata of these formations were formed during the Ireviken Event, one of the severest identified oceanic events on Gotland, with diversity changes and extinctions among several groups of marine taxa. 3. 3. The Late Silurian Lau Event and brachiopods from Gotland, Sweden

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Lena Gustavsson; [2005]
    Nyckelord :geography; geology; Late Silurian; Lau Event; brachiopods; Gotland; Sweden; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The impact of the Ludfordian Lau Primo-Secundo Event on brachiopods from Gotland has been investigated. About 12 000 individuals were identified from five samples. The results are supplemented by an extensive literature study. On Gotland, the Lau Event spans the Botvide Mbr (uppermost När Fm, upper Hemse Group) and the Eke Fm. LÄS MER
