Oil spill alert services using radar satellites have been in use in Norway for more than 25 years. Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Sjöfartshögskolan (SJÖ)Sammanfattning : Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om arbetsgivaren ser någon kompetensskillnad på om en nyexaminerad styrman har gått det treåriga programmet där det krävs en tidigare matrosbehörighet eller det fyraåriga programmet där ingen tidigare erfarenhet krävs. De stora skillnaderna på dessa program är att på det treåriga programmet har styrmännen arbetat till sjöss innan de började studera, medan de flesta från det fyraåriga programmet går till sjöss för första gången under deras praktik.
