1. Colliding Galaxies in a (Nut)Shell
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astronomi - Genomgår omorganisation; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : Galaxy interactions and mergers are natural recurring events in the current cosmological paradigm, events that often coincide with starbursts and enhanced star formation activity. To understand why that is, one can use idealised (non-cosmological) merger simulations, which provide freedom to recreate specific tidally distorted galaxies, and analysis of the time evolution and underlying physics of the star formation activity at a high spatial resolution. 2. Towards promoting the well-being of wheelchair users by measuring physical activity
Kandidat-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Fakulteten för teknik och samhälle (TS)Sammanfattning : To measure physical activity in a wheelchair user is important. Disabled people have been found to be less active and it has negative health implications. By relating to ones own physical activity in concrete form it is easier to reinforce a positive attitude towards being physically active. LÄS MER
3. Preparation, characterization and testing of model catalysts for CO oxidation and CO2 hydrogenation
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/SynkrotronljusfysikSammanfattning : A joint research between Lund University and Chalmers Competence Centre for Catalysis have shown promising results for a Rh-based catalyst for CO2 hydrogenation catalytic applications. The original catalyst consisted of a dispersion of nanoparticles onto a porous 3D oxide network. LÄS MER
4. Högfrekventa tryckvariationer under de senaste århundradena
Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Long time-series of pressure measurements often have high quality because the early instruments are more or less the same as the modern ones. A time-series from Lund consisting of three daily measurements from 1780-1997 has been homogenised and is therefore suitable for analysing possible influences of the enhanced greenhouse effect.
