  1. 1. Flexible Sector Coupling (FSC) of Electrical and Thermal Sectors via Thermal Energy Storage (TES) : A Case Study on Oskarshamn Energi

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Raúl Calvo García; Jose María Marín Arcos; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Flexible sector coupling FSC ; district heating DH ; thermal energy storage TES ; heat pump HP ; capacity optimization; dispatch optimization; open-access tools; Flexibel sektorkoppling; fjärrvärme; termisk energilagring; värmepump; kapacitetsoptimering; leveransoptimering; verktyg med öppen tillgång;

    Sammanfattning : The integration of distributed energy sources and systems is of high relevance for the transition towards a more sustainable energy system. Taking into consideration the  amount of emissions produced by the heating sector, which account for at least half of the energy demand in buildings, district heating systems have the potential to play a key role in the transition, by enabling the integration of various energy sources and provide flexible energy services to the grid. Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Robertson Manuel André Gil Castro; Raúl Vera Martínez; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Energy Saving Measures; Building Energy Efficiency; Energy Modeling of Educational Buildings; IDA ICE; Academic Buildings; Campus Energy Utilization; Energibesparande åtgärder; Byggnaders Energieffektivitet; Energimodellering av Undervisningsbyggnader; IDA ICE; Akademsiska Byggnader; Campus energiavnändning;

    Sammanfattning : The building sector is one of the sectors with the highest energy utilization and is one of the largest sources of CO2 emissions worldwide. At the same time, energy prices in Europe have significantly increased in recent years. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Does irrigation data matter in life cycle assessments?

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för miljö- och klimatvetenskap (CEC)

    Författare :Olof Andersson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Agent-Based Life cycle assessment; Arable grass rotation; Biofuel; Irrigation; Sensitivity analysis; Water footprint; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Biofuels are seen as a key substitute for fossil fuels and an essential tool for mitigating climate change. A sensitivity analysis was conducted on the AB-LCA (agent-based life cycle assessment) made by Raül López i Losada and his research team. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Trade-induced Environmental Impacts Connected to a Policy Promoting Agricultural Biofuels in Sweden; A sensitivity analysis on an Agent-based Life Cycle Assessment

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för miljö- och klimatvetenskap (CEC)

    Författare :Fanny Elfgren; [2023]

    Sammanfattning : The demand for biofuels is increasing as a result of increased climate mitigation ambitions aiming to replace the use of fossil fuels. To meet the increasing demand, energy crops grown on agricultural land used to produce biofuels is getting more and more attention. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Atomic wear mechanisms of hard chrome against Al2O3

    M1-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Fakulteten för teknik och samhälle (TS)

    Författare :Raul Fierro Tobar; Marius Yuku; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Wear mechanisms; DFT; MD; hard chrome; aluminium; RDF; adhesive; abrasive; Nötning; DFT; MD; hårdkrom; aluminium; RDF; adhesiv; abrasiv;

    Sammanfattning : Hard chrome exhibit hardness of about 70 HRC and lubricity that prevents seizing and galling and is therefore the common first choice for engineers to reduce friction and minimize wear. These properties enable engineering applications such as cutting and drilling, especially in manufacturing, production and consumer good industries. LÄS MER
