  1. 1. Study of pH effect on the skin in Franz cell by impedance spectroscopy: an attempt to model incontinence effect on the skin.

    Master-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Institutionen för biomedicinsk vetenskap (BMV)

    Författare :Megha Bhavinkumar Patel; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Artificial urine; Electrical impedance spectroscopy EIS ; Incontinence-associated dermatitis IAD ; pH; Stratum corneum SC ; Artificial urine; Electrical impedance spectroscopy EIS ; Incontinence-associated dermatitis IAD ; pH; Stratum corneum SC ;

    Sammanfattning : The human skin is the largest and most complex body organ but accessible and attractive for biomarker sampling and transdermal drug delivery. The two procedures are significantly impacted by several biophysical properties of the skin, especially the pH and stratum corneum (SC)hydration. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Undersökning av lämpligt tryck att tillämpa i medicinska sensoriska plagg : Vilket tryck mot huden krävs för tillförlitliga signaler från textila sensorer

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomi

    Författare :Carmina Lacson; Alice Johansson; [2021]

    Sammanfattning : För att kunna underlätta för sjukvården, både med avseende att belastning och för att underlätta för patienter med allergier mot t.ex. limmet som används för att fästa elektroder mot kroppen, arbetas det med att ta fram sensoriska plagg. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Investigation of ECG electrodes for burn wounds

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för elektroteknik

    Författare :Linus Falk; [2020]
    Nyckelord :ECG; electrode; burn; wound;

    Sammanfattning : This project aims to investigate a variety of electrodes for ECG (electrocardiogram) measurements and find suitable ones for burn wounded skin in association with the Burn center in Uppsala University Hospital.   To this purpose, the electrical properties (in particular, electrical impedance and equivalent circuit) of electrodes and the influence of the skin on the electrical properties are looked into, and various common artefacts in ECG measurements are investigated, such as wandering baseline (caused by perspiration, respiration, patient movement and poor electrode contact), muscle tremor artefact, 50-60 Hz power line interference and measurement noise. 4. 4. Impedance and Stimulation Comfort of Knitted Electrodes for Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) : Influence of electrode construction and pressure application to the electrode

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomi

    Författare :Luisa Euler; [2020]
    Nyckelord :textile electrodes; impedance; pressure application; electrode construction; stimulation comfort; NMES;

    Sammanfattning : Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) is a modality of electrotherapy which is aiming to restore and improve muscle function by injecting small levels of current into the muscle using different types of electrodes. Advantages are seen in using textile electrodes which can be integrated into wearables. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Enhancing textile electrode performance : Regulating moisture management through textile structure

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomi

    Författare :Carin Backe; [2017]
    Nyckelord :textile electrodes; textile structure; bioelectricity; moisture management; smart textiles;

    Sammanfattning : The medical field has been a part of the smart textile area for quite some time. With time come technological advancement and the two fields converge on more and more areas. One such area is that of using textile electrodes, textrodes, for measuring bioelectrical activity, such as heart rate for ECG analysis. LÄS MER
