  1. 1. Enhanced Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments as an organisational learning bridge for resilience building? A case study of Red Cross National Societies in the Caribbean

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Riskhantering och Samhällssäkerhet

    Författare :Gwenaëlle Delcourt; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Organisational learning; resilience; vulnerability and capacity assessments VCAs ; red cross red crescent; Disaster risk management; MMO; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Adaptive capacity based on organisational learning (OL) is at once a critical imperative facing humanitarian organisations in their mission to save lives and support communities most at risk; and inherently evidenced as an enduring weakness over the past decades. Vulnerability and Capacity Assessments (VCA) are community-based risk assessments established for their utility in supporting communities’ iterative learning. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Signal amplification in a microfluidic immunoassay system via Binding Oligo Ladder Detection : Applying the Exazym® signal amplification to the Gyrolab® platform

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för farmaci

    Författare :Daniel Wiman; [2023]
    Nyckelord :immunoassay; ultra-sensitive; signal amplification; Gyrolab; Exazym; high sensitivity; microfluidics; BOLD amplification; nucleic acid polymerisation;

    Sammanfattning : Immunoassays are analytical methods that use the highly specific binding of antibodies in order to detect and quantify an analyte. The technique has become a staple in modern biopharmaceutical research and diagnostics, however the measurement of biomarkers like dysregulated cytokines require ultra-sensitive immunoassays that can detect molecules at sub pg/mL concentrations. 3. 3. Optimisation of a LOX/Ethanol rocket engine ignition

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Pierre Collard; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : For more than half a century, humanity has achieved the feat of extracting itself from the earth's atmosphere and sailing into space, broadening the spectrum of knowledge and curiosity. Although space market seemed mastered and stable the arrival of new private players has reorganized the sector through new technological choices. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Techno-economic study for a 50 MW PV plant in Nigeria

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan Dalarna/Energiteknik

    Författare :Jacob Kelly; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Photovoltaics; monofacial; bifacial; fixed mounting; single-axis tracking; inverter loading ratio; utility PV plant; solar farm; LCOE optimisation; Nigeria;

    Sammanfattning : As part of Nigeria’s drive to increase electricity production capacity and shift to renewable sources, a new 50 MW photovoltaic (PV) plant is proposed for a town in north-west Nigeria. Rather than using conventional monofacial modules and fixed mounting, it is of interest to consider a selection of new technologies which are attracting growing attention in the global utility PV market. 5. 5. Optimisation of line of sight matching to obtain wind vectors from the SIW satellite

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för system- och rymdteknik

    Författare :Theresia Hestad; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Remote sensing; Wind measurements; Middle atmosphere; Retrieval; Scan bias; Satellite;

    Sammanfattning : SIW, Stratospheric Inferred Winds, is one of the upcoming Swedish research satellites, aiming to study the winds in the middle atmosphere by measuring the Doppler shifts in molecules such as O3 with a limb viewing sub-mm spectrometer. By conducting simulations on the expected observations, the pointing sensitivity requirement of the satellite was investigated to be able to optimise the matching of the wind vectors. LÄS MER
