1. Experimental studies of radiation damage in uranium nitride
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : The effect of proton (H+) irradiation on uranium mononitride (UN) and UN compositefuel with 10 at.% ZrN (UN10at%ZrN) was examined. Protons of 2 MeV with fluences of1E17, 1E18, 1E19 and 1E20 ions/cm2 were accelerated towards the fabricated samples in orderto investigate the evolution of the micro-structure. LÄS MER
2. Developing an Ar milling process to improve the contact quality to InAs nanowires
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysikSammanfattning : The aim of this work was to develop a stable and reproducible argon milling process for InAs nanowires to remove the native oxide layer that increases electrical resistance. This was done by identifying a few milling parameters and studying them in relation to the milling rate of silicon dioxide (SiO2). LÄS MER
3. Influence of Post-treatments on Corrosion Properties of 3D printed Metal Components for Bioprocessing Applications
Master-uppsats, KTH/MaterialvetenskapSammanfattning : Additive manufacturing (AM) has the potential to overtake the conventional production of pipe systems of stainless steel grade 316L intended for bioprocessing applications by utilising powder bed fusion laser beam (PBF-LB) technologies. However, challenges such as high surface roughness need to be overcome and corrosion properties improved to meet industry standards. LÄS MER
4. PFAS- En sammanfattning av ny forskning, med ett fokus på föroreningskällor, provtagning, analysmetoder och saneringsmetoder
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionenSammanfattning : PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) is a large group of pollutants that, over the last decade have been of great academic concern since it has been found all around the globe. PFAS is ubiquitous in our environment and frequently found in low background concentrations in soil and water; recent research has also found that PFAS occur in biotic samples, such as fish and plants. 5. Tribological behaviour of CVD diamondcoated tools during machining of highstrength aluminum alloy : Master thesis project on tribological behavior of super hard materials: chemicalvapor deposition diamond (CVD) coated cutting tools and polycrystalline diamond(PCD) cutting tools used in machining of high strength aluminium alloy
Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för ingenjörsvetenskap och fysik (from 2013)Sammanfattning : Machining of Aluminum can be complicated due to large amounts of adhesion and diffusion of the aluminum onto the cutting tool, causing effects such as built-up layers and built-up edges. This leads to poor surface finishes and can significantly affect the tool life. LÄS MER
