  1. 1. Effect of temperature on early stage adhesion during TiAlN sliding against Inconel 718 and Stainless steel 316L : High temperature tribology

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Författare :Ahsan Ali; [2023]
    Nyckelord :High temperature tribology; Early-stage adhesion; Adhesive wear; Friction; Wear resistant coatings; Physical vapour deposition PVD coatings; TiAlN; Tungsten carbide WC Co ; Difficult to machine super alloys; Inconel 718; Stainless steel 316L; High-performance materials; Abrasion; Oxidation; Chipping; Ploughing; Characterization;

    Sammanfattning : High-performance materials such as stainless steels and nickel based super alloys are widely used in demanding applications where high mechanical and thermal properties are required. The applications of super alloys are mainly found in jet engines, power plants and gas turbines demanding high fatigue strength, corrosion and oxidation resistance as well as wear resistant properties. 2. 2. Evaluation of Crack Depth Meter - An investigation of the crack depth meters possibilities and limitations for commonly occurring damage mechanisms

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållfasthetslära

    Författare :Alfred Norberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Crack depth measurement; RMG 4015; ACPD; Damage Mechanism; Evaluation; FEM Simulation; Sprickdjupsmätning; RMG 4015; ACPD; Skademekanism; Utvärdering; FEM-simulering;

    Sammanfattning : In this master thesis, the accuracy of the crack depth meter RMG 4015 was evaluated for different types of cracks with various damage mechanisms. In total, 61 crack depth measurements were conducted with the crack depth meter on 56 cracks which were located in the 23 different test pieces supplied by Kiwa. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Influence from temperature variations in stacking fault energy on the mechanical properties of stainless steels

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Materialvetenskap

    Författare :Christopher Hallén; Marcus Johansson Storne; [2023]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This paper investigates the mechanical properties and deformation mechanisms of austenitic stainless steels and how they relate to the material property of stacking fault energy (SFE) and its relation to temperature and nickel content. Austenitic stainless steels are commonly used and well known for good mechanical properties and deformation characteristics. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Micromechanical Characterization of Thin Paper Materials

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Lunds Tekniska Högskola

    Författare :Linus Bengtsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Micromechanical characterization; SEM; In situ tensile testing; Paper deformation; Fiber orientation; Paper mechanics; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Hur ser framtidens hållbara förpackning ut och vad är den tillverkad av? För att besvara denna fråga blir mikromekanisk karakterisering av material en viktig parameter att utforska och förstå. I synnerhet är mikromekaniken hos tunna pappersmaterial intressant då materialet har användningspotential i flera förpackningsapplikationer. LÄS MER

  5. 5. The design of a hydraulic equalizer bar for the feeding mechanism on forest harvester heads

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematik

    Författare :Arvid Söderlund; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Harvester; Harvester head; Komatsu Forest; Hydraulics; Equalizer bar; Parallellstag; Stag; Skogsmaskin; Skördare; Aggregat; Skog;

    Sammanfattning : Due to the importance of a correct tree placement and the wear that occurs to equalizer bars inharvester heads, Komatsu Forest AB in Umeå was interested if the bar could be replaced with ahydraulic system. According to Komatsu, the problems were that the equalizer bars that are responsible forsynchronizing the delimbing knives and feeding mechanism add weight, take up space and have atendency to break before their life expectancy.
