1. Formulation development of a recombinant VAR2-antiCD3 protein for cancer immunotherapy
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)Sammanfattning : The use of immunotherapy for treating cancer has received a lot of attention in the recent years. The therapy is based on activating or deactivating the patient’s own immune system to help fight the disease. One way of doing this, is using bispecific molecules that can target both cancer cells and T-cells simultaneously. LÄS MER
3. Milk production and protein utilization in high producing dairy cows fed a low CP diet based on cereals and roughage only : a full lactation study
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Nutrition and ManagementSammanfattning : A feeding trial investigating the effect of a concentrate diet consisting only of cereals on milk production, protein utilization and nitrogen efficiency was conducted on Swedish dairy cows. 13 SRB and 12 SH cows were randomly assigned to one of two groups: group 1 was fed a concentrate feed (Cereal), mainly consisting of barley (36%), wheat (34%), oats (25%) as well as molasses (2%) and a mineral and vitamin mix (3%), whereas group 2 had access to both Cereal and a protein rich concentrate feed (Prot) based mainly on soya bean (51%) and rapeseed cake (28%). 4. Dependence on pH of Structural and Dynamical Changes of a Calmodulin Domain Mutant
Kandidat-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för fysik, kemi och biologi; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakultetenSammanfattning : Calmodulin (CaM) is a highly conserved protein able to bind Ca2+. When Ca2+ is bound the protein can bind and activate further proteins with several individual functions. CaM switches to a more open conformation when Ca2+-bound and is able to do so at a high rate. Little is known about the conformational switches between apo and Ca2+-bound states. LÄS MER
5. Cloning of the functional domains of TSP-1 for protein expression
Kandidat-uppsats, Institutionen för medicinsk biokemi och mikrobiologiSammanfattning : Thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) is a multifunctional extracellular matrix glycoprotein that is released from platelets α-granule to regulate angiogenesis process. TSP-1 is well-known as an inhibitory factor of angiogenesis that binds to angiogenesis stimulating factors, for example fibroblast growth factor 2 (FGF-2), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and hepatocyte growth factor/scatter factor (HGF/SF), to inhibit angiogenesis.
